Tunes Tuesday // Mumford & Sons "Sigh No More" Favorites

  Hello!

You guys. Today is the day.  Mumford & Sons' new album drops!! To celebrate, I thought I'd share my five favorite tracks from "Sigh No More", their very first album.
This was hard to do, considering the CD in its entirety is golden. There aren't any bands with the same sound as Mumford and his children jk they're not related that I like listening to; it's incredible how different they are from what I normally enjoy, but how much I still like them. If you ever see a live performance, like when they played on SNL on Saturday, they give every song their all. It's amazing. I'll never forget when I first saw them perform on The Grammy's two years ago; I immediately downloaded "The Cave" afterward. Yes, even though it was a school night. That's how bad I was and how good they were. Anyway, now you know my Mumford obsession. Here's my top five!
If you've never heard Mumford & Sons before: some of the songs have lengthy beginnings, but stay tuned! Each one of their songs have gorgeous vocals, lyrics, and use of instruments. And if you like them, check out their whole album (and the one that came out today!); it's the only full album, out of all my CDs on iTunes, that I listen to entirely.

Winter Winds by Mumford & Sons on Grooveshark

Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons on Grooveshark

Sigh No More by Mumford & Sons on Grooveshark

Roll Away Your Stone by Mumford & Sons on Grooveshark

Picking out just five was hard work! Maybe in a week or two I'll have my top picks from "Babel" (By the way, it got a freaking "A" grade from Entertainment Weekly. That's impressive stuff for anybody.); it's unlikely, though, 'cause it'll take a while to choose favorites!

Do you like Mumford & Sons? What's your favorite track?

Tunes Tuesday // Pop Songs on the Radio

   Hello!

This week, I decided to dedicate Tunes Tuesday to my favorite pop/pop-y songs on the radio right now.  I don't listen to any of this stuff when it's not on the radio (minus No Doubt, Matchbox Twenty, and One Direction), though, but these are my favorite songs that play on the pop station.
P.S. That Taylor Swift song is super catchy. I really don't like Taylor Swift because she never shuts her mouth in every/any advertisement she's in for whatever reason, but I do really like this track.
P.S.S. Some of these take a few extra seconds to start. Don't give up.

Tunes Tuesday /// fun. Edition

   Hello!

Remember my new feature, Tunes Tuesday? Weeeelll, this week is fun. themed! You've almost undoubtedly heard "We are Young", maybe even "Some Nights", on the radio, but what about the other songs on their album? Since fun. is my second favorite band ever (behind Coldplay, tied with Mumford & Sons), I decided to make sure I'm not the only one who knows them past their #1 singles. These are my favorites (excluding "Some Nights") off their newest CD.

All Alright by fun. on Grooveshark

Out On The Town by Fun. on Grooveshark

One Foot by fun. on Grooveshark

Tunes Tuesday (+ Introduction) /// Favorite Songs

  Howdy!

Ever since summer started, I've been all over Pandora. Nonfreakingstop. In doing so, I've found some killer songs! Which inspired me to have a new feature: Tunes Tuesday! Yaaaay! It might not be every week, but I'll try to make it as often as possible (proof being the fancy little logo guy up there!).
A lot of these songs will probably be ones I've been listening to for a while, then some others will be straight out of  Pandora's box radio. I'll try to have five, give or take a few, every week. I won't be making it in the style of a playlist, because whenever I see a playlist rather than an individual player, for some reason, I've found I'm less likely to listen to whatever's on it (and also I think it looks cooler this way :). And I'm using Grooveshark because, unlike something like Spotify, you don't need an account to listen.
Oh, and these don't have a theme. They're just my favorites of right-this-second.
Okay, with all that explained, let's get this partay started!

Somewhere In Brooklyn by Bruno Mars on Grooveshark
When Did Your Heart Go Missing by Rooney on Grooveshark
Five Years Time by Noah and the Whale on Grooveshark
Young Folks by Peter Bjorn And Jon on Grooveshark
Nighttiming by Coconut Records on Grooveshark
Nothing Matters When We're Dancing by The Magnetic Fields on Grooveshark

Speaking of music, did you hear about Mumford & Sons releasing a new album?! AHHH!!

What are your favorite songs right now?

    xoxo,
         Zoe
